(0.54) FTE part-time fixed-term position located at our Burwood campus teaching Year 4 to Year 6 students. This is a Parental Leave replacement position commencing from 23 June 2025 until the end of the 2025 School Year with the possibility of extending the contract into 2026.

(0.20) FTE part-time permanent position located at our Caulfield South campus teaching early years children and Year 3 students.

The role and function of a Primary Music Teacher is to plan and deliver engaging and considered classroom music lessons to students.

Ideally, the successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Qualified teacher with Full or Provisional VIT Registration or Granted Permission to Teach by VIT
• Tertiary Music and Education Qualifications

• A thorough understanding of the Australian Curriculum and assessment Requirements

• Knowledge of and experience in implementing the Primary Years Program (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) is desirable

• Demonstrate the required knowledge and understanding to teach classroom music.

• Is highly competent on their chosen instrument in performing and demonstrates a sound knowledge of music theory.

• Expresses a growing knowledge and/or a willingness to learn from renowned music education methodologies, building upon teaching strategies, structure, and lesson delivery in teaching classroom music.
