Primary Class Teacher - Lewisham Location: Lewisham, South East London Position: Primary Class Teacher Start Date: February 2026 Pay: £3,500 - £4,500 per month

Veritas Education is delighted to be working alongside a friendly, community-focused primary school in Lewisham, who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Primary Class Teacher to join their team from February 2026.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a primary class, delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

This role is ideal for a reflective and motivated teacher who enjoys creating stimulating learning experiences, building positive relationships with pupils and families, and contributing to a supportive and forward-thinking school community.

The Ideal Primary Class Teacher Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential

  • Experience teaching within a primary school setting (ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply)

  • A strong understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment frameworks

  • Planning and delivering well-structured, engaging lessons across the primary curriculum

  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

  • Monitoring, assessing, and tracking pupil progress to inform effective teaching and learning
