The Classroom Support Officer is responsible for supporting classroom teachers to develop and implement evidence based intervention strategies for individual students or groups of students, to improve learning outcomes across learning areas or subjects.
Accountabilities:
- Assist with the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students including the use technology and learning support activities.
- Monitor the progress of students and identify learning areas to provide evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Improve student learning outcomes by providing support and advice on supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with school specialists in organising and assisting with intervention groups to coordinate services.
- Supervise students on specific learning activities.
- Document observation notes, intervention programs and assist in the collation and preparation of classroom materials.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
