This role focuses on enhancing student engagement, learning progress and achievement by improving teacher capacity and effectiveness, and supporting teacher development. The coach will work within a dynamic team to deliver better educational outcomes for all, in line with Brisbane Catholic Education frameworks and the school’s strategic plan. This is a full-time continuing teaching appointment. The position is full time release, and the applicant will work within the upper area of the primary school.

In this key position, you will:
• Enhance teacher capacity and effectiveness through feedback and support to implement effective classroom pedagogy and planning
• Model high-quality teaching and learning
• Mentor teachers • Develop and lead professional learning
• Collaborate with school and BCE staff
• Demonstrate commitment to improved educational outcomes for all students
• Ensure continuous school improvement through implementation of key strategies in line with system initiatives and the school's explicit
• Support teachers to monitor progress using data
• Lead and co-ordinate curriculum implementation and development of pedagogy and assessment skills 
 
About the role -

About you -
To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience in Pedagogical Teaching as well as:
  • Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
  • Commitment to child safety
  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven organisational skills
  • Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes
  • Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement.

At BCE our teachers are required to:
  • Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration; and
  • Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

Do I have to be Catholic?
If this role does not require you to teach Religious Education, you do not need to be Catholic.
We support all teachers with Accreditation to Teach pathways after you start with us.
