About the Role

Secondary schools across Accrington are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and confident PE Teachers to deliver high‑quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Working through Veritas Education, you'll support schools with day‑to‑day cover, short‑term assignments, and opportunities that match your availability and teaching style.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Promote teamwork, resilience and healthy lifestyles

  • Manage behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment

  • Support practical and theory-based PE sessions

  • Ensure safeguarding and school policies are followed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant PE teaching experience

  • Strong classroom and behaviour‑management skills

  • A passion for sport, fitness and student development

  • Flexibility to work across different schools

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
