We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated person to join our vibrant school community. This is a full-time continuing teaching appointment, with an initial two-year appointment as Pastoral Middle Leader to the end of the current triennium (Dec-2027). Two subsequent three-year appointments as Pastoral Middle Leader will be offered following a successful performance review.

About the role - As a dynamic and innovative member of our school community, you will:

In this role, you will be expected to:
- Coordination and/or development of work programs according to national, state and local requirements
- Coordination of daily organisation, College events, including WSA, YLA, Guest Speakers/Presentations
- Keeping abreast of developments within the area of responsibility through on-going professional reading and research and providing for the professional learning of staff in line with these developments
- Engaging in professional discourse with staff on an individual and departmental basis through regular meetings
- Regularly communicating with parents/caregivers
- Supervising the quality of Pastoral Care practice through activities such as collegial planning, moderation, classroom observation, and facilitation of reflective teaching practice
- Contributing to the leadership of the school through active participation in staff and middle leadership meetings, including staffing & enrolment interviews
- Regularly communicating with stakeholders about issues of legitimate interest and/or concern.

About you - To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience in Pastoral Leader as well as:
- Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
- Commitment to child safety
- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven organisational skills
- Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes
- Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement.
At BCE our teachers are required to:
- Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration; and
- Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

If this role does not require you to teach Religious Education, you do not need to be Catholic.
