Key responsibilities include:

Ensuring outdoor learning programs are age appropriate, offer a challenging yet rewarding experience and fulfil the agreed purpose.

Collaborate with external providers to plan and execute high-quality outdoor learning activities.
-
Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to ensure safety and compliance.
-
Manage camp logistics, including sites, venues, transport, and equipment.
-
Facilitate student preparation through information sessions and communication with families.
-
Act as the Seymour College leader during camps, ensuring smooth operations.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of promoting student agency and demonstrated success at presenting challenges to students in a supportive environment.
About You:
You are a dedicated outdoor education professional with:
-
Relevant academic qualifications and a current SA Teaching Registration Certificate.

Extensive experience in delivering and coordinating outdoor education programs.
-
A strong understanding of best practices in the outdoor education industry.
-
Exceptional organisational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
-
The ability to lead multiday wilderness adventures and mentor young people.
Essential Requirements

Wilderness First Aid or equivalent (HLTAID012), including CPR and Anaphylaxis certification.

South Australian Driver’s Licence with LR or MR classification.
-
SLSC Bronze Medallion.
-
Responding to Risk of Abuse, Harm, and Neglect Certification.
