The Role: As Nursery Manager, you will lead our close-knit team of early years professionals, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating environment that aligns with the best practices in early childhood education. You'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, overseeing curriculum delivery, supporting staff development, and fostering a positive relationship with parents and carers.
You will be passionate about creating an environment that's not only safe and welcoming but also focused on the development of each child. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire a dedicated team of early years practitioners.
Oversee the nursery's daily operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines.
Create and implement engaging learning experiences and activities for children, based on their individual needs and interests.
Foster strong relationships with parents and families, ensuring their needs are met and they are involved in their child's development.
Manage staff recruitment, training, and ongoing professional development to maintain high levels of team performance.
Ensure the nursery operates within budget and meets financial targets.
Maintain and develop the nursery's homely atmosphere, ensuring a safe, clean, and nurturing environment.
Promote outdoor learning opportunities and ensure children benefit from our spacious outdoor area.
About You: We're looking for an experienced and motivated Nursery Manager who brings a wealth of expertise and passion for early childhood education. To succeed in this role, you will need:
At least 5 years of experience in a management role within early years education.
A strong knowledge of early years development and the latest best practices.
Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
A commitment to delivering high-quality care and education for children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for working closely with families.
An understanding of the operational side of running a nursery, including financial and regulatory responsibilities.
A desire to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families.
