Veritas Education is recruiting a Level 3 qualified Room Leader for a brand-new nursery in the LS6 area of Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced early years practitioner who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role within a supportive and growing nursery environment.

As a Room Leader, you will lead a small team within your room, ensuring high-quality care and learning experiences for children while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support practitioners within your room, promoting a positive team environment

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework

  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the room

  • Monitor children's learning and development, supporting staff with observations and assessments

  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers, sharing progress and updates

  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times

    • What We're Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)

  • Previous experience working in an early years setting

  • Strong knowledge of EYFS and child development

  • Leadership skills and the ability to support and guide a small team

  • A caring, positive, and proactive attitude
