Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in the Castleford area who are seeking a passionate Music Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner who can inspire and engage pupils across KS3 and KS4, promoting a love of music both in and out of the classroom.

About the Role

  • Deliver high-quality Music lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning to ensure pupils make strong progress.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities, performances, and enrichment opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with the department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Follow school policies and uphold the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.

    • About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Music education.
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that meet the needs of learners.
  • Strong classroom management and a commitment to maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • An understanding of safeguarding procedures in line with the Department for Education standards.
