The Key Selection Criteria that will be used to select the successful applicant include:

  1. Demonstrated understanding and respect for the Catholic educational philosophy of St Virgil's College. 
  2. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high profile musical program for students in a Primary setting.
  3. Experience in teaching in small group and individual situations and conducting musical ensembles.
  4. Recognised level of proficiency in at least one performance area and achievement, the ability to promote a love of learning, creativity and artistic expression.
  5. Experience in performing and/or mentoring performers.

Personal Qualities 

  • Friendly, positive manner and disposition. 
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate a team.
  • Understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school.
