The Key Selection Criteria that will be used to select the successful applicant include:
- Demonstrated understanding and respect for the Catholic educational philosophy of St Virgil's College.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high profile musical program for students in a Primary setting.
- Experience in teaching in small group and individual situations and conducting musical ensembles.
- Recognised level of proficiency in at least one performance area and achievement, the ability to promote a love of learning, creativity and artistic expression.
- Experience in performing and/or mentoring performers.
Personal Qualities
- Friendly, positive manner and disposition.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to lead and coordinate a team.
- Understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school.
