Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging music lessons for KS3 and KS4 students, potentially including KS5.
  • Teach a broad curriculum, covering music theory, performance, composition, and appreciation.
  • Encourage students to participate in school music ensembles, choirs, and performances.
  • Support students in preparing for GCSE and A-Level Music exams, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
  • Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment that fosters creativity and a passion for music.
  • Stay updated with new trends and technology in music education.
  • Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Music, with experience teaching at the secondary level (KS3, KS4, and ideally KS5).
  • Ability to play an instrument and/or lead musical ensembles is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A passion for music education and the ability to inspire students.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
