Mt Maria College, North Brisbane’s first Catholic Co-Educational College, was established in 1978. We are seeking a Strings Teacher to support the mission of the school through involvement in the Instrumental Music program offered to students and the school community. This position will include individual and small group tuition, plus two string ensembles.
This involves interacting with students, staff and parents in an appropriate manner as well as contributing to effective processes and practices in keeping with the values of ethos of the school.
Applicants should have formal qualifications at a degree level relevant to String teaching and associated pedagogy. Applicants should be able to prepare students for external examinations and demonstrate initiative in building and enhancing the current String program
Depending on the nature of the Music program, the role may also involve interacting with personnel and organisations outside the school community and developing partnerships that enhance results for students.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
