Holy Spirit School is a Catholic primary school situated in the northern Brisbane suburb of Bray Park. We are seeking School Officers to undertake a range of tasks in supporting the needs of students, under the direction of the teacher, in our Prep and Years 1 - Year 6 classrooms.

Typical duties include:

  • General classroom support
  • Assist with the co-planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students including the use technology and learning support activities.
  • Assist in the collation and preparation of classroom materials.
  • Supervise students on specific learning activities.
  • Improve student learning outcomes by providing support for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with Learning Support and Class Teachers to organise and assist with intervention groups.
  • Monitoring student progress and documenting observation notes
  • Using technology to support learning activities


Ideally you will have: 

  • Previous experience as a School Officer;
  • And/or hold a minimum Cert III in Educational Support or studying an education degree
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills with staff and students
  • An understanding of the work of a Prep to Year 6 classroom
  • A willingness to work as part of a team.
