About the Role
Responsibilities include:
- Provide technical database, analysis, design, implementation and applications administration support and lead a team of developers in the SSRS environment.
- Develop, implement and maintain standards, guidelines and knowledge base articles for database installation, administration and support while ensuring compliance to change control processes, relevant industry standards, government and departmental policies.
- Ensure that developments from the team adhere to the Software Development Life Cycle, including specification, code development, unit testing and applying existing standards and change and release management practices.
- Report and maintain statistical and historical metrics to measure and monitor service delivery.
- Provide consultancy to programmers to assist in the optimisation of development databases.

About You:
- You will ideally have a minimum 8 years' proven experience in developing and designing MSBI solutions, with some experience in leading a small to mid sized team. Any experience in SQL Database and system administration is good to have.
- You will ideally have experience in designing, developing, testing reports using business intelligence practises and technologies with some experience leading a small to mid-sized team.
- An advocate for best practices and business process optimisation and improvement to support the business and Corporate clients within the Department of Education.
- Effective communicator and collaborator, able to work closely with the development team,DBA, functional analysts, and business stakeholders to support the departmental initiatives.
- Desirable if you have a degree or post graduate qualification in information technology.
- Desirable if you have some experience in database and system administration.
