Veritas Education are proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Rossendale to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher for a maternity cover role starting October 2026.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, offering stability and the chance to make a real impact within a supportive department.

The Role:

  • Teach MFL (French and/or Spanish) across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging and effective language lessons
  • Support students of varying abilities to develop confidence in languages
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Contribute to the wider MFL department and school community

    • The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching MFL in a UK secondary school
  • Ability to teach French and/or Spanish to KS3/KS4
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Passionate about language learning and student progress
  • ECTs are welcome to apply
