Veritas Education are currently seeking dedicated and adaptable Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant for a secondary school in Woking. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, supporting students' learning, building their confidence, and making a meaningful impact on their educational journey. The role is full-time, term-time only, and available to start in September 2026.

Responsibilities for Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant include:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging maths lessons and supporting classroom learning.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, including those with SEN, helping to reinforce learning.
  • Support the development of students' academic skills as well as their social and emotional growth.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Prepare and organise teaching resources to support lesson delivery and student engagement.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to track student progress and implement learning strategies.

    • About you:

  • Degree in an Maths or a related subject
  • Experience working with children or young people (e.g. in schools, tutoring, youth work, or mentoring)
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and a professional and friendly approach
  • Have knowledge and/or experience supporting students within special educational needs
  • School based experience preferred but not essential
