Woodcrest State College is a Prep to Year 12 College with an established reputation for quality education in the Springfield community. Conveniently located across the road from the Springfield Train Station, our specialised Primary and Secondary Schools are resource rich settings with the latest technologies, gymnasiums, laboratories, playing fields, performing and practical arts programs. We also have an Academic Enrichment Program available from Year 7, Sports Excellence in AFL, Volleyball and Basketball and an on site Kindergarten and Trade Training Centre.

About the Role

Responsibilities include:

  • Management of College Events to ensure all events are at a high standard and promotes the College in a positive light
  • Management of College marketing to ensure all College Marketing and Sponsorships meets policy and promotes the College in a positive light
  • Provide a high level of administrative support to the secondary executive team
  • Coordinate the production of all school publications and promotional material;
  • Newsletters:
    • Source and edit articles for newsletters;
    • Source and take photos (student consent) for newsletters;
    • Staff Newsletters (monthly);
    • Community Flyer (once a Term);
    • Liaise with Reprographics to publish and distribute promotional materials;
  • Maintain content for the school's website to ensure information is accurate and up to date;
  • Promote the College by providing innovative pre-approved (by Executive) good news stories to the media and local community;
  • Develop and maintain a proactive and consistent online and social media presence to promote the school and to communicate responsively with the wider community
  • Develop partnerships with key external stakeholders, including Alumni members, local media and local Industry Partners and develop networks to enhance the current position of the College
  • Source WSC school activities, events, photos from sub-schools/planners;
  • Promote P&C events, fundraisers on Facebook and website;
  • Manage all advertising requirements for the College
  • Coordinate all College events to ensure all events are ran at a high standard and promote the College in a positive light.
  • Provide office support to the secondary executive team to support student outcomes.

These responsibilities are not exhaustive, and other responsibilities may be performed by the Marketing Officer. Duties may vary based on operational requirements of Woodcrest State College.
