Responsibilities include:

The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Lead and manage teams and projects to improve youth engagement and to achieve the department's strategic priorities.
  • Strategically monitor, manage and triage regional education case management caseloads and plan activities to ensure alignment with strategic priorities, legislation and policy, and adherence to stipulated timeframes by utilising individual and team capabilities.
  • Oversee case management practices, provide advice on managing potential issues in consultation with internal stakeholders and provide direct case management provision proportionate to team management responsibilities in instances where escalation of student cases is required.
  • Ensure effective communication, integration, coordination and liaison occurs with key stakeholders and clients including state school principals, regional staff, personnel from other regional and divisional offices, and staff from other government departments, external stakeholders in non-government organisations, non-state schools and education and training providers to maximise available options for case managed young people.
  • Promote leadership and foster a challenging, equitable, ethical and safe work environment for staff, which encourages commitment, skills development, professional growth and continuous improvement.
