About the Role:            

The Manager, Strategic Engagement will provide high-level advice and support to senior officers on policy and strategy relating to disability reform priorities, disability strategy and inclusive education for students with disability.

Responsibilities unclude, but not limited to;

  • Contributing to setting and supporting the department's strategic direction regarding support for students with disability.
  • Leading and managing projects and coordinating the development of systemic initiatives relating to departmental disability reform priorities, disability strategy and inclusive education for students with disability.
  • Providing ongoing evaluation of the activities and work practices associated with disability reform, disability strategy and inclusive education for students with disability.

Highly desirable skills and experience;

  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex policy issues and contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based initiatives.
  • Exceptional skills in policy development, briefing, government processes and data analysis.
  • Strong background in program and/or project management and reporting.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple work activities and priorities to meet tight timelines and deliver on agreed milestones.
  • Effective and respectful stakeholder management and liaison skills.
  • Commitment to engaging with others and taking steps to optimise a healthy, inclusive and safe workplace.
  • Passion for continuous learning and commitment to communicating openly about strengths and development goals.
