About the Role
As the Manager you will:
- Manage teams in the delivery, management and reporting for a range of complex infrastructure, planning and asset management activities for the department.
- Provide strategic advice to the Minister, Director-General, Division executive, senior management and departmental stakeholders across a range of infrastructure, planning and asset management issues.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead, manage and participate in a team(s) providing a high-quality service in the formulation of innovative and workable solutions for infrastructure and planning related services to internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Develop and sustain productive working relationships with key internal stakeholder groups across the Department to ensure critical data and information is derived from the appropriate sources to inform current and future budget needs.
- Provide strategic advice to the Minister, Director-General, Division executive, senior management and departmental stakeholders across a range of infrastructure, planning and asset management issues.
- Manage the human, financial and physical resources allocated to support the service function and be accountable for their effective use.
- The Manager reports to the nominated Director and can be required to work across any team or work unit within the Division.

- Demonstrated ability and experience in identifying and analysing problems, and then exercising initiative and responsibility to develop and implement solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain productive working relationships with team members, stakeholders and clients including the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives.
- Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation and consultation skills, in order to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal clients in order to meet expectations and improve service delivery.
