As the Manager, Information Release, you will:
- Provide leadership, management, legal advice and representation to oversee the processing of information requests under various legislation (for example, applications under the Right to Information Act 2009(Qld) and Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth); subpoenas and other legal instruments), ensure compliance with statutory obligations for information requests, and act as the department's delegated and Minister's authorised decision maker under relevant legislation.
- Deliver legal advice, through General Counsel, on public law matters including confidentiality, privacy, and statutory decision-making about information release, while supporting the development of innovative knowledge and case management systems and processes, and related policy initiatives.
The Manager reports to the Director, Legal Services, Corporate and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Services.
