About the Role:
As the Manager, you will:
- Lead the provision of high-quality grant management support functions for the Division, including business systems administration, contract management, financial management, review and implementation of policies, procedures and reporting.
- Provide authoritative and professional advice, analysis and guidance to senior management in relation to effective grants management, financial management, funding and budget management.
The Manager reports to the Director, Grants Management, Early Childhood, Early Childhood and State Schools Division.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead, manage and motivate a multi-functional team to support the delivery of early childhood programs and initiatives through the provision of grants and contract management.
- Lead the data analytics and financial reporting, to ensure the strategic aims and objectives of the Government are achieved.
- Manage the implementation, review and ongoing utilisation of grants and contract management processes and systems, ensuring compliance with Government and departmental requirements and robust processes with appropriate internal controls and checks.
- Lead the preparation of monthly reports and financial analysis to allow informed decision making.
- Identify emerging issues and provide high level and strategic advice to senior management on appropriate grants management practice and development to support the delivery of early.
About You:
- Experience leading a high-quality grants management or finance function including business systems and reviewing and implementing policies, procedures and reporting;
- strong team leader who can support, motivate and mentor a multifunctional team;
- Innovative and collaborative;
- An accounting or business degree would be advantageous; and
- An understanding of Queensland's kindergarten funding arrangements would be advantageous.
