About the Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate specialised events that supports a state-wide approach.
  • Lead strategic deliverables of Equity and Excellence that affect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and students.
  • Manage financial investments around funding - oversee the allocation and monitoring of NIAA funding, ensuring financial resources are strategically invested and ensuring transparency and accountability in the utilisation of funds.
  • Lead the development of effective communication and stakeholder framework to effectively work with communities, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and sustain partnerships with stakeholders state-wide.
  • Lead a small high performing team to deliver effective frameworks to support the regions to deliver.
    High level written capability is required to deliver on reporting, briefing notes and cabinets submissions where required.
  • Required to have data analytical skills to provide evidence base knowledge and present findings state-wide.
  • Have a strong governance process and understanding of challenges and barriers within processes.
  • Ability to respond under pressure and required to meet tight deadlines.
  • A real passion for advocating or creating opportunities for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children, students and their families.
  • Have strong project management process and methodologies to deliver.
  • Lead and coordinate culturally appropriate consultation processes with communities.
