About the role:

As the Manager, you will:

  • Manage the provision of accurate and authoritative advice to the Executive Director EQIP on all matters relating to the administration and management of budgetary and financial resources to support the optimal utilisation of EQIP programs funds and resources.
  • Oversee the provision of capability development services and strategies to other program staff, including support staff, to enhance their financial management outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and deliver a range of specified financial services that meet client needs and provide outcomes that contribute to improved program outcomes and comply with all relevant policy, procedures, legislation and standards.
  • Provide and ensure the provision of impartial and authoritative advice to relevant stakeholders on a range of specific accountabilities, including budget and resource management, budget review processes and financial aspects of other operational and administrative responsibilities for the EQIP program.
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality interventions, strategies and advice, based on analysis of financial management practices and financial performance, to drive improved outcomes and effective resource management.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the team to ensure delivery of effective management of complex financial management issues or opportunities.
  • Coordinate the development of sound strategies, policies, procedures, systems and recommend improvements to support the optimal utilisation of funds and resources within the EQIP program.
  • Manage and develop a team by actively encouraging the building of organisational capabilities and professional expertise as well as setting quality standards within the Office of the Executive Director, EQIP team and across the broader EQIP program.
  • Build and sustain effective networks with clients and stakeholders, including procurement and finance to attain mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Provide senior management with accurate and timely reporting on budget performance and interventions and solutions provided, including recommendations for process improvements.
  • Provision of high-level briefing material, submissions, papers and reports based on efficient and effective analysis of information.
  • Model and promote public service professionalism by advocating a culture of achievement, resilience and excellence across all areas of responsibility.
