Your Role:
The Manager, Early Childhood is responsible for leading a team to deliver high quality advice and support to ECEC services, schools and communities.
The Manager is responsible for planning, monitoring and reporting on early childhood initiatives and place-based priorities to improve outcomes in participation, attendance, transitions and wellbeing for children.
The successful applicant will broker strong partnerships with early childhood education and care services, funded early years programs, schools (including State Delivered Kindergartens) and communities based on data and evidence, to improve outcomes for children.
As the Manager, Early Childhood you will:
- Provide high level leadership in the development, planning and implementation of strategic early childhood initiatives, supporting effective practice to optimise learning and development outcomes for children across early childhood.
- Lead the development and management of regional systems aligned with data, evidence and statewide initiatives to increase the capacity of key stakeholders to support successful transitions and the participation and engagement of children in early childhood services.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage a team to provide sustained and consistent implementation of early childhood initiatives, prioritising the participation and engagement of all children in development and learning pathways including quality transitions, that lead to successful educational outcomes and wellbeing.
- Identify, assess and deliver on strategic early childhood issues and provide advice to the Director and senior management.
- Establish evaluation and monitoring systems to assess the success of early childhood initiatives, programs, strategies and policies in regions, including risk management strategies, high level data analysis and key performance measures.
- Monitor performance and capability of staff and develop and implement strategies to strengthen knowledge, business systems and team performance to meet organisational and client needs.
Travel and overnight stays may be required.
