About the role:
As the Manager your role will include:
- responsibility for a major program or programs at state-wide level and of critical importance to the department, operating within broad policy guidelines, or responsibility for a service-wide function.
- providing specialist consultancy advice within or across Agencies, developing policy and interpreting, reviewing and implementing policy instructions, setting objectives in the work area, processing representations to the Minister, overseeing responses to Parliamentary Questions, preparation of reports to government, preparing ministerial briefing notes and correspondence, liaising with other government bodies and community organisations, including the provision of public information on programs, activities or services; and representing the department at meetings, conferences or seminars.
- discipline, expertise and experience combining elements of planning, organising, directing and evaluating to determine goals and priorities within the framework of the corporate objectives of the office or of other agencies.
- original thinking, creativity, the exercise of significant levels of independent judgement, and the exercise of delegated authority as required.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead operations of the Guidance and Wellbeing services including proactive and strategic implementation of the Student Learning and Wellbeing Framework.
- Management and support for Student Wellbeing and Guidance Services in the region including Senior Guidance Officers, Senior Advisor Psychology and Guidance Officer Mental Health.
- Lead implementation of project planning from data analysis through to reporting to senior regional staff including managing all budgets and HR components.
- Experience consulting, collaborating and partnering with internal and external stakeholders on shared priorities and outcomes.
