Teaching Assistant - Literacy & Numeracy Intervention Specialist Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for helping children achieve their full potential in literacy and numeracy?

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school and deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions to pupils who require additional support. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with small groups, building confidence in learners, and making a measurable impact on educational outcomes. This role is based outside of the classroom

The Role:

  • Deliver structured literacy and numeracy intervention sessions to small groups of pupils.
  • Support pupils in developing key reading, writing and mathematical skills.
  • Work closely with class teachers to plan and implement targeted support programmes.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual learning needs.
  • Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or similar role.
  • Experience supporting literacy and/or numeracy interventions.
  • Strong English and Mathematics skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
