EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Hackney, LondonSalary: £1,900 - £2,400 per monthStart Date: Immediate / SeptemberContract: Full-time
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hackney is seeking a qualified EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support children within a nurturing Nursery or Reception setting, helping pupils develop key early learning, communication, and social skills. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
The school has a strong Early Years provision, supportive leadership team, and a collaborative staff culture focused on helping every child thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Support teaching and learning within EYFS
Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions
Support phonics, early reading, and numeracy development
Encourage positive behaviour and emotional development
Assist with classroom activities and daily routines
Work closely with the EYFS team and parents where required
Requirements
Essential:
Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification or equivalent
Experience working within an EYFS setting
Good understanding of the EYFS framework
GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
Desirable:
Experience within a primary school setting
Knowledge of phonics and early interventions
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
