Veritas Education are looking to recruit experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistants to work across secondary schools in East Lancashire, including Burnley, Nelson, Colne, Rossendale and Blackburn. This is a full‑time position, offering long‑term placements with the opportunity for permanent roles for the right candidates.

About the Role

We are seeking skilled and confident Teaching Assistants who can support students in the classroom, work alongside teachers, and help create a positive learning environment. You will work with pupils across a range of abilities, including those who may need additional support with learning, behaviour, or social development.

Your role may include:

  • Supporting whole‑class teaching
  • Providing small‑group or one‑to‑one intervention
  • Assisting pupils with SEN or additional learning needs
  • Helping teachers prepare resources and manage classroom activities
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
  • Supporting pupils with confidence, communication and progress

    • Requirements

    To be considered, you must have:

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, supportive approach
  • The ability to work as part of a team and build good relationships with pupils
  • A valid DBS (or willingness to apply for one through Veritas)
