Veritas Education is recruiting on behalf of welcoming and supportive nursery settings across Leeds for a Level 2 Early Years Education Practitioner to join their team on a fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on young children's learning and development while gaining valuable experience within a nurturing Early Years environment.

You'll play an important role in creating engaging learning experiences, supporting children's individual development, and helping to provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive setting where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the learning and development of children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities alongside senior practitioners
  • Create a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for all children
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Observe, assess, and contribute to children's learning journeys
  • Encourage children's confidence, independence, and social development
  • Maintain safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare standards at all times
  • Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated nursery team

    • Requirements:

  • Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (essential)
  • Previous experience working in an Early Years setting
  • A good understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive, reliable, and caring approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development
