Are you caring, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting young children in their learning? We are delighted to be recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly and nurturing primary school in Garstang on a contract basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive difference in a primary school setting. Teaching Assistant experience is preferred but not essential, as full support and guidance will be provided.

✨ About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range. You'll help create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting children with their learning in the classroom
  • Working with pupils one-to-one or in small groups
  • Encouraging confidence, independence, and positive behaviour
  • Assisting with lesson activities and classroom preparation
  • Providing care, reassurance, and encouragement throughout the school day

  • Kind, patient and enthusiastic
  • Passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing
  • Comfortable working as part of a team
  • Reliable and eager to learn

    • Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a childcare/education setting is desirable but not essential. This role is also ideal for graduates, career changers, or anyone considering a future career in teaching or education support.
