About the Role
Veritas Education is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people and helping students overcome barriers to learning. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide targeted assistance to students, enabling them to achieve their academic and personal potential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide classroom-based support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions where requiredSupport students with varying learning needs and abilitiesAssist teachers in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environmentHelp students develop confidence, independence, and resilienceMonitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staffPromote positive behaviour and support student wellbeingFollow safeguarding policies and procedures at all timesThe Ideal Candidate
Previous experience working with young people is desirableExperience within an education or support setting is advantageous but not essentialExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA patient, caring, and proactive approachAbility to build positive relationships with students and staffStrong organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a teamCommitted to supporting student achievement and wellbeingDedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young peopleWhat the School Offers
