    The Role

    We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant to work closely with a Year 1 child, supporting their learning, social development, and emotional well‑being under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.

    This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in a child's school experience.

    What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting a child with additional needs through tailored learning and emotional support
  • Building a nurturing, positive relationship that promotes confidence and inclusion
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver effective support strategies
  • Providing feedback on progress and contributing to pupil records
  • Assisting with intervention programmes and adapting activities based on pupil response
  • Supporting classroom organisation to maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment
  • Helping with trips and enrichment activities
  • Using the school's sensory space to support regulation and well‑being
