Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a welcoming primary school? Our education agency is currently recruiting dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in the WF7 area of Wakefield.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers to support pupils across the classroom, providing individual or small-group support and helping to create a positive, engaging learning environment. You'll assist in promoting good behaviour, ensuring pupils stay on task, and supporting their emotional and academic development.

Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning in line with the national curriculum
  • Work 1:1 or with small groups of pupils to aid progress and engagement
  • Assist with classroom management and encourage positive behaviour
  • Support children with additional learning needs as required
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

    • Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant (essential)
  • Strong understanding of classroom behaviour management strategies
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through us)
