Salary Range: SOF Level 5 - $38.29 to $40.15 Gross per hour + 12.75% Super

This position would be suited to a multi-skilled administration officer who works well in a fast-paced structured environment and has experience providing high-level secretarial and administrative support. Experience within a school or education sector is desirable, but not essential.

About the Role
This position supports the school Principal and Leadership team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the school on a day-to-day basis.
Tasks include but are not limited to the following:
- Providing high level administrative support to senior management of a school where discretion and judgement are required, including: taking minutes; organising appointments and diaries; initiating and handling correspondence (which may include confidential correspondence); monitoring telephone calls; and establishing and/or maintaining working filing systems.
- Providing administrative support during meetings (some out of hours work may be required).
- Applying knowledge of advanced functions of computer software packages and to manage data ie modify fields of information; develop new databases or spreadsheet models; or graph previously prepared spreadsheets.
- From verbal or rough handwritten instructions; answering non-standard executive correspondence, preparing papers, briefing notes, or other written material.
- Training and supervising staff classified at lower levels by means of personal instruction and demonstration.
- Developing and maintaining business systems to ensure efficiency of service delivery.
- Managing school publications including website maintenance, various forms of electronic communication and media.
- Displaying competence, or willing to learn technology systems including eMinerva, Page Up and other relevant systems
- Working within the administration and leadership teams to assist with the preparation of special events at the school
- Assisting the Workplace Health and Safety Officer for the school
- Organising and coordinating relief staff (some out of hours work may be required).
- Liaising with external agencies and trades to support the maintenance of the school.
