A warm and supportive Catholic school in Barnet, North London, is looking for a Languages Teaching Assistant for a September start. If you are a languages graduate looking to work within education, this could be a great opportunity to work in a supportive secondary school. As a Languages Teaching assistant, you will working in either French or Spanish classrooms to support the students.
You will be predominantly working within the Languages department, supporting the teacher and class as a whole, and working with individual students. Teaching Assistants are an integral part of our team, working on a 1-1 and small group basis with students who need additional support. You will also work to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to support them within a mainstream learning environment.
We are looking for warm and empathetic individuals who are flexible and proactive. A desire to support young people is the most important thing for a Learning Support Assistant, but it would be beneficial to have some experience of working with secondary aged children (11-16).
