KS2 Teaching Assistants Required - Lancaster Primary School

Veritas Education are currently recruiting for two Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming primary school in Lancaster after the October half-term break.

These are long-term positions supporting pupils in Key Stage 2, working within either Year 4 or Year 6 classes. The successful candidates will provide intervention support, small group work and additional assistance to pupils preparing for SATs assessments.

Role Details

  • Start Date: Monday 2nd November
  • Location: Lancaster
  • Year Groups: Year 4 or Year 6
  • Hours:
  • Monday to Wednesday: 9:00am - 12:00pm
  • Friday: 9:30am - 11:00am
  • Hours may be flexible for the right candidate
  • Long-term opportunity

    • The Role

  • Deliver targeted intervention sessions in English and Maths
  • Support small groups of pupils within the classroom
  • Assist with SATs preparation and attainment-raising activities
  • Work closely with class teachers to support pupil progress
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff

    • Requirements

  • Previous experience working with primary-aged children
  • Understanding of the KS2 curriculum
  • Experience delivering interventions or small group support is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant TA qualification preferred but not essential with suitable experience
