Veritas Education are working with a supportive and high-achieving two-form entry primary school in Islington, who are seeking a passionate and committed KS2 Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong practitioner looking to work in a collaborative year group with excellent leadership support.

The Role

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a KS2 class (Year 3-6 depending on experience), delivering high-quality teaching and contributing to the wider school community. You will work as part of a two-teacher year group team, benefiting from shared planning, joint curriculum development, and a strong network of support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a KS2 class to a high standard, ensuring lessons are engaging, challenging and accessible.
  • Plan and deliver creative lessons following the school's established curriculum.
  • Assess pupil progress through both formative and summative methods.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
  • Contribute to team planning, moderation and year-group initiatives.
  • Support the school's values, behaviour expectations and inclusive ethos.
  • The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 3-6).
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment.
  • A reflective, proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and high expectations for all learners.
  • A commitment to inclusion and supporting pupils of all abilities.
  • Positive communication skills and a passion for teaching.
