About the Role

A welcoming and high-achieving primary school in North Leeds is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic KS2 Academic Tutor to support pupils in Years 3-6.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates or individuals considering a career in teaching or education, offering hands-on classroom experience and the chance to make a real difference to pupil progress.

You will work closely with teachers to deliver targeted academic support, helping pupils build confidence and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions in English and Maths
  • Support pupils in developing core skills across Key Stage 2
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
  • Identify gaps in learning and adapt support strategies accordingly
  • Track pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
  • Help maintain a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
  • Who We're Looking For

  • Graduates (any subject) or individuals passionate about education
  • Strong academic background, particularly in English and/or Maths
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, positive, and resilient attitude
  • Experience working with children is desirable but not essential
