Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Rossendale area to recruit a dedicated KS1 Teacher for a maternity cover position starting in July 2026 through until March 2027.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic teacher to join a nurturing school environment with a strong focus on pupil progress, wellbeing, and high-quality teaching. The school has a friendly staff team, supportive leadership, and well-behaved pupils who enjoy learning.

The Role:

  • Full-time KS1 class teacher position
  • Planning, preparation, and marking responsibilities included
  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and leadership

    • The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS
  • Have recent experience teaching within KS1
  • Be confident managing a classroom independently
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
  • Be committed, reliable, and passionate about primary education
