We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive primary school in Accrington. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher with a strong understanding of phonics and proven experience working with children from EYFS through to Key Stage 1.

About the Role: As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young learners. You will plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all pupils, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and engaging lessons that meet the requirements of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Develop a strong phonics-based teaching approach to enhance literacy and reading skills.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all children feel safe, valued, and supported.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall development of the school.
  • Provide a nurturing environment that promotes both academic and personal growth.
  • The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • A strong understanding of phonics and its importance in early literacy development.
  • Proven experience working with children from EYFS to Key Stage 1.
  • A creative and dynamic approach to teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
