The Junior School Learning and Teaching Coordinator (P – 5) works directly to the Head of Junior School and under the strategic leadership of the Director of Learning and Teaching. This is one of three Junior School Coordinators (Studies Coordinator and Student Wellbeing Coordinator) who, along with the Head of Junior School, comprise the Junior School Leadership Team. This team provides Christian leadership, implementation of the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the Junior School (P – 5). They are responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of a rich and invigorating, Christ centred learning experience for students in the Junior School from Preschool to Year 5 as part of the Junior School Leadership Team. They take the lead role in designing and implementing an authentic Christian curriculum in the Junior School from Preschool to Year 5 which gives attention to: > the empowerment of children as active agents in their own learning; > the inclusion of the child’s world (family and community), and > a holistic approach to children’s growth and development. The Junior School Learning and Teaching Coordinator (P – 5) is a full-time Position of Responsibility 2 (PR2) and will undertake a 0.6FTE teaching load in the Junior School.
