Veritas Education is looking for a committed and proactive Intervention Support Assistant to work within a secondary school in Kirklees. This role involves supporting students who require additional help to achieve their academic potential, focusing on targeted interventions in core subjects.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver small group and one-to-one intervention sessions in English, Maths, and other subjects as required.
  • Support pupils with SEND and those who need catch-up support.
  • Monitor and record student progress, reporting to teaching staff and the SENCO.
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure effective learning strategies.

    • Requirements:

  • Experience working with secondary-aged students in an educational setting.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
