About Balmoral State High School

Balmoral State High School was established in 1958. Over many decades this great secondary school has provided the education thousands of students have needed to begin their careers or move on to further study. Graduates have access to the full range of post-school options - tertiary study, training or the workforce. We are situated on ten hectares in Morningside, approximately 6km from the Brisbane CBD. About the Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Recruit suitable homestay providers to host international students and secure the principal's approval for all suitable homestay providers.
  • Ensure homestay providers are compliant with Blue Card Services criteria and relevant DE International policies and procedures.
  • Manage and coordinate the placement of international students with suitable approved homestay providers in accordance with DE International's homestay policies and procedures as well as State and Commonwealth legislative requirements.
  • Participate in all training offered by the school and DE International.
  • Contribute to the development and coordination of a homestay register to record and monitor homestay providers and student placement data as per EQI requirement in their database.

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Great time management;
  • Strong documentation skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with attention to detail and initiative;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite - including Outlook, OneNote, Sharepoint, Excel, and Word.
