About the Role
As the Infrastructure Services Officer, you will have responsibility for, but not limited to, the following:
- End to end management of claims for significant events (e.g., weather-related events such as tropical cyclones or storms)
- Oversee the management of disaster-related M4 claims, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all disaster-related claims in the databases
- Prepare and submit reports on disaster claims, including progress updates, financial summaries, and outcomes, to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates to management on the status of disaster claims and any emerging issues.
- Reconcile payments and update records in SAP and other financial systems.
- Respond to queries and correspondence related to disaster claims in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop policies, guidelines and procedures for the management of claims and liaise with schools to provide guidance on claim completion and accuracy.
- Provide advice and assistance to schools and business units in relation to the replacement of equipment, the QGIF property policy and the DRFA.
- Prepare ministerial and general correspondence, briefings, reports and submissions.
- Provide professional input into continuous improvement agendas in order to develop and promote best practice in facilities and asset management.

- You will also hold a current Working with Children Check clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services), a mandatory requirement for this role.
