About the Role

As the Industry Liaison Officer, you will play a key role in supporting student pathways by building strong, productive partnerships between the school, industry, employers and training providers. You will actively source and coordinate School Based Apprenticeships, vocational training and work experience opportunities, helping students make informed decisions about future career pathways. Working closely with the Senior Schooling team, you will promote pathways that support successful transitions from school to further training or employment, while providing high-quality liaison, coordination and support to both students and industry partners to maximise positive post-school outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Actively source and coordinate School Based Apprenticeships, vocational training and work experience opportunities that support diverse student career pathways.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with employers, industry groups, training providers and apprenticeship support agencies to maximise student outcomes.
  • Promote and market school-based vocational and technical pathways to employers, students and stakeholders, positioning them as valued post-school options.
  • Support students to transition from school to further education, training or employment by coordinating placements, inductions and work-readiness activities.
  • Monitor, track and report on student participation and outcomes within vocational pathways, working collaboratively with the Senior Schooling team to support achievement and success.

About You

The following traits would be beneficial:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience or understanding of vocational education, training, and career pathways.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple programs and maintain accurate records.
  • Proactive and self-motivated approach to identifying and creating opportunities for students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with schools, industry partners, and training providers to achieve shared goals.
