About the Role
The Industry Liaison Officer plays a key role in supporting senior students, parents, and staff by facilitating work experience, School-Based Traineeships and Apprenticeships (SAT), and Vocational Education and Training (VET) opportunities. This position is integral to fostering strong partnerships between the school, employers, and training providers to create meaningful career pathways for students.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain relationships with employers, training providers, and apprenticeship support agencies to source opportunities for students.
- Promote and market the benefits of School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships to stakeholders and position them as career pathway preferences for students.
- Coordinate and manage work experience placements, including monitoring students in the workplace and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with the Senior Schooling Team to track student progress and outcomes in VET pathways.
- Assist in the development and implementation of business plans, promotional materials, and student work readiness programs.
This role would suit a proactive and organised individual with a passion for fostering student success and building strong community and industry partnerships.
About You

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in promoting and marketing programs to employers and community groups.
- Knowledge of Australian School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships, including relevant legislation and policies.
- Proven ability to coordinate and manage work experience or similar programs.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, including data management and reporting.
