About the Role

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and co-ordinate the day to day operations of the Moreton Bay North Training Alliance across multiple locations (including liaising with partner school Principals and Business Managers) and co-ordinate the delivery of courses and programs with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
  • Source and manage structured work placement opportunities for Alliance students by actively seeking opportunities in industry and maintain a current knowledge of legislation relevant to Vocational Education and Training and Work Experience.
  • Promote and market the Moreton Bay North Training Alliance to partner school students and parents, industry representative bodies, local employers and other stakeholders.
  • Develop a governance model and prepare reports for presentation to the governance group, seek sponsorship, develop partnerships with service providers and maintain relationships with employers, training providers, industry bodies and community groups.
  • Provide the governance group with a regular update of program outcomes, identify issues and develop solutions that may impact the success of the Training Alliance, provide a high level of support to Alliance school teams, business, industry and training partners, and establish feedback loops to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Take a lead role in the development and implementation of the Training Alliance Business Plan and promotional materials, including marketing and communication strategies and initiatives.
  • Work directly with government, industry, business and community groups to form productive partnerships and develop networks to position the Moreton Bay North Training Alliance as a training pathway of choice for students in the region.
  • Contribute to the preparation and presentation of information sessions, Career Expos and Senior InformationNights and respond to parent inquiries.
  • Develop and manage the structured work placement program, including seeking placement opportunities, monitoring students in the workplace, arranging visits and manage the preparation, collection and storage of records and data in accordance with relevant policy.
  • Co-ordinate, monitor student outcomes and service delivery by RTOs to ensure high-quality training and continuity of delivery.

The successful applicant will be required to work during school holidays in April, June and September to supervise student work placements and conduct industry site visits.
