About Queensland Pathways State College
Queensland Pathways State College provides a senior transitions program for students in Years 10 to 12 who face barriers to mainstream schooling. The college focuses on student wellbeing vocational development and strong community and industry partnerships to support successful pathways into training or employment.
Your Role
Based at the Mount Isa Campus the Industry and Vocational Training Officer works closely with student's school leadership employers and training providers. The role supports vocational pathways school-based apprenticeships traineeships work readiness programs and student engagement. This is a permanent position reporting directly to the Head of Campus.
Responsibilities include:
- Support students in classrooms through one on one and small group learning, wellbeing and work readiness support.
- Coordinate School Based Apprenticeships Traineeships and work experience and build strong partnerships with employers' industry and training providers.
- Complete administration tasks that support student pathways enrolments records reporting and the day to day running of the school.
- Drive the school bus to support student transport to and from schoolwork placements and excursions.
- Assist with events promotions community engagement and provide practical support to students as required.
